We collected clear thermoformed plastic packaging, even if it was torn, one-sided, and covered in labels.
All shapes and sizes were welcomed. Here are some examples of products packaged in thermoformed plastic:

  • Cell Phones
  • Electronic cords
  • Eggs
  • Head Phones
  • Pens
  • Fruit
  • Golf Balls
  • Hair Accessories
  • Computer Game Accessories
  • Tooth brushes
  • Toys
  • Razors
  • Remote Controls
  • Cables
  • Light bulbs
  • Tools
  • Memory cards
  • Batteries

It’s important to realize that blister packs are recyclable, but are often not recycled.  Even if thermoforms are collected in residential recycling programs, many plastic reprocessing facilities do not want it because they see the material as a contaminant.

The use of thermoformed plastic packaging is widespread.  However, some people believe that blister packs just aren't that common anymore.  Maybe it's just that we've grown accustomed to not "seeing" it.  It has become invisible, and what is invisible to the mind is invisible to the eye. Let's start training our eyes and make the invisible visible again.

We have found some interesting information which you can read HERE.
